Session Number: 104
Session Title: Building Your Learning Team: The CIA's CLO Perspective
Room Location: Durango 2
Day and Time: Monday, 10:00am - 11:00am
Session Format: Thought Leader
Led by: Jonathan Kayes - Chief Learning Officer - CIA University
Session Description: If your work in the learning field is as part of an organizational team, how do you take advantage of the talents within that team? When shifts occur (ie. transitioning from traditional classroom instruction to online/blended, or the team becomes geographically dispersed), does your previous structure still work in the new environment? What differences arise when your team consists of 2, 4 or 20 people? The Chief Learning Officer of the CIA will address the joys and challenges of working with a team.
*: Making different personalities and skills mesh
*: People, structure and processes: using those 3 factors (whether they are in your control or not)
*: Balancing the challenge of working "down and in" the learning function with "up and out" of the rest of the organization
