Session Description: Technical innovation drives change. Technology changes are occurring at a more rapid pace. Globalization of products and services is becoming more commonplace. How do today's technical professionals keep up? How do their leaders keep pace in today's changing environment? We will focus on how corporations today equip leaders of technical professionals to be successful in the leading and managing of their employees.

 

  • Are there elements of technical communities that distinguish them from the workforce at large?
  • What are the key challenges that leaders of technical professionals face today?
  • How effective are leadership programs designed to equip today's leaders of technical professionals?

 

Led by: David Brand - 3M

 

 

 

 

Dave is a Learning Specialist at 3M involved in the design and delivery of Leadership Development programs for supervisors and managers. He has facilitated and coached in Leadership programs at 3M since 2005.  Dave is a chemist by training and previously taught college level chemistry courses for over 12 years.
